Get the big shapes right and everything will fall into place...

Big Shape, Little Shape

I have the massive privilege of having Jesse Smith teaching me how to draw. One of the principles he constantly reinforces is " Big Shape, Little Shape" which is all about making sure you get the larger shapes of a drawing (or anything really) correct before you start doing the medium shapes or any details.

Lately, I've started to view life as if it were a piece of art. You are the artist. It's up to you if your life will turn out to be a masterpiece or just a handful of sketches of dreams you had.

This is one of the lessons I'm trying to apply, not only to my art, but to my greatest task; my life.
