I'm Not Proud of This

What I learned from maing something that didn't turn out great.
What it Takes to Learn
I didn't want to show this skateboard to the world...
But I felt like I needed to.
As a young artist, I often make things that just don't come out great. My insecurity makes me want to hide them, but I feel it would be dishonest if I did that.
It's going to take an immense amount of practice before I can effortlessly create things to the level I'd like. And I'm okay with that because it's the creation and learning that's the most fun anyway.
Plus, talking with some of the incredible artists I look up to, it turns out this feeling never really goes away, haha.
I also shared this because I think so often on Instagram, we only see people's very best, and I get why, but I can't tell you how encouraging it is for me as someone struggling with my craft to see a master I look up to share when they've missed it or when something didn't work. It helps me realize that it happens to everyone at every level.
